Auerbachs Keller

Price range: Average

One of the most famous restaurants in Germany, where Goethe used to hang out of an evening and a stone's throw from the Thomaskirche where J.S. Bach plied his trade. The decor is breathtaking, the food is traditional German cooked to a very high standard and the price, considering the surroundings, is very reasonable. Try the venison soup with cranberry foam as a starter.
